The year’s biggest award ceremony for the Indian film industry, the IIFA awards was recently held at The Venetian Macao, Macau. Hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor, the show was a raging hit, with the glitterati of Bollywood gracing the red carpet in style.
Needless to say everyone at the IIFA awards was dressed impeccably in designer clothes; however the ladies of the evening, dressed in exquisite sarees really took the cake. Bollywood style icon Vidya Balan in her black with gold embellished appliqué patch work lehenga saree by Anand Kabra lehenga, as always managed to be the centre of attention. The carelessly done fishtail plait and the contrasting white, V necked, full sleeve blouse, with gold embroidery around the neck added to the appeal.
Madhuri Dixit, with her delicate black net saree designed by Karishma and Monica, stole the show. Gold embellished patchwork within red borders heightened the appeal of the saree. Her chic hairdo, and exemplary make up added oodles of elegance to the timeless appeal of this timeless beauty!
Two other women were spotted looking extraordinarily hot in their designer sarees. Shriya Saran in her lime green faux georgette saree designed by Manish Malhotra, was quite the diva of the evening, while Divya Dutta was seen in a bright red saree, with a matching bindi to complete the look.
The latest award show to take place this Awards season was the Renault Star Guild Awards 2013. Studded with all the biggies of Bollywood, the award show, took place at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on 16th of February.

It was refreshing to see Anushka Sharma in a stunning black and pink sari designed by Manish Malhotra. Anushka went for jhumkis, bindi, and big kohled-eyes like a traditional Indian woman chooses to dress up for festivities
Sonakshi Sinha was seen in a creation by the designer duo Abu Sandeep. She looked refreshing in the white embroidered anarkali. Aditi Rao Hydari was seen in a Payal Singhal designed peach sari.

The Oscars of Bollywood, the 58thFilmfare Awards was recently held in Mumbai and we saw the pretty ladies of Tinsel town sashaying down the red carpet looking their best. The night saw a mix of Western as well as Indian wear.
Looking drop dead gorgeous was Chitrangda Sinha who took the traditional route and donned an Anand Kabra creation of yellow and gold. The youngest debut of this year, Alia Bhatt opted for a Manish Malhotra design and she carried the look quite well. Vicky Donor fame Yami Gautam was seen a stunning Tarun Tahiliani designed corset dress which was structured like a lehenga in champagne gold.
Vidya Balan continued her love for Sabyasachi by yet again wearing his design. Aditi Rao was seen a metallic grey sari while Di aMirza donned an ivory colour anarkali by Gaurav Gupta.
