Red Carpet of a Award function is no less than a Fashion Show and this Filmfare Awards was one spectacular show. Through the years, Filmfare has become the most awaited event while the Bollywood film fraternity as well as the audience look forward to this night of nights. The Bollywood beauties once again showed their preference for Indian ethnic wear over western wear. We at Sareez are delighted to give our customers a range of choice to get their custom sarees made taking inspiration from this Red Carpet.
Our favourite was Deepika Padukone who showed up in a a sheer peach Anamika Khanna Saree. This wonderful piece of creation had short sleeves silver tissue saree blouse accented with floral crystal appliqué , matching the appliqué adorned saree. We were confused between Raveena and Madhuri as they both made a statement with their selection of saree . Raveena adorned a hot red plain saree with lace border which was paired with designer short sleeves saree blouse. As for Madhuri , hers was a white saree which had a gradation of grey with thick border and a maroon coloured saree blouse. We loved her , what about you?
The industry’s hottest pair of sisters made an appearance together and they both looked gorgeous in a saree. For Karishma it was elegant Manish Malhotra Saree number with designer sleeveless saree blouse. The saree itself was embroidered shimmer with studs an red lace border. Kareena was also in a Manish Malhotra number.
Sonali Bendre and Dia Mirza gave us somewhat similar looks and both looked pretty . What we love about Dia is she always carries herself with great panache. Both were wearing a white number with plain border and paired them up with elbow length saree blouse. Sonali was in a Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla design while Dia wore a Anamika Khanna Saree.
Other who made an appearance in a saree were Vidya Malvade , Vidya Balan , Udita Goswami , Aruna Irani , Usha Uthup ,Sara Jane Dias , Rekha and top notch models Alecia Raut and Deepti Gujral.
