Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan

Rakshabandhan is one of the oldest traditions upheld in Hindu families. As a vow of protection, this day marks a brother’s promise to his sister, when he promises to protect her with his life. On this particular day every woman likes to feel special and it is our responsibility that we ensure she is also looking special!

Rakshabandhan is an important festival especially for the women of the household, and hence it is imperative that they adorn themselves in the most gorgeous clothes. This season, vibrant shades and colour blocking patterns are a rage. Colour combinations like pink and midnight blue, mustard yellow with lime green, off white and rose are amongst the hot favourites. Designer sarees in single colours with heavy embroidery and beadwork on them are also very popular. Green being the colour of the season on sareez.com we have sarees in various shades of green. White is another popular colour, in this festive season. White sarees with astute golden design work is perfect for you if you are looking for the right balance between elegance and style. Red again is a popular colour this season and as we all know, you can rarely go wrong on a festival day with a red saree!

What to wear in Monsoon

Monsoons or the rainy season poses a big problem when it comes to deciding what to wear. Torrential rains and muddy puddles are the things to be most wary of when choosing appropriate outfits for going out in the rainy season.

Since chiffon & Georgette is a lightweight fabric, it is easier to carry off during the rainy season. The most advantageous thing about chiffon & Georgette saree is that it dries up quite easily. Hence, when faced with a sudden outburst of rain and getting drenched as a result of it, chiffon & Georgette sarees take just few minutes to dry up considerably thereby not leaving one wet and damp for a long time. Also, being synthetic fiber Georgette does not leave behind stains to an extent that natural fibers such as cotton, silk do. That is precisely why these types of sarees are ideal when walking on muddy roads and hopping over muddy water puddles.

Attractive printed Georgette sarees also helps one to go through the drench in monsoon days. Bright colors should be chosen for sarees meant for the rainy season. Such sarees look very trendy without sleeves. Such sarees look on women in the teaching profession or medical line. Many office goers find themselves comfortable in printed sarees.

Jewellery is a tricky subject during this time of the year. For functional purposes, keep your jewellery minimal – stick to an interesting neckpiece, or a pair of earrings.

The best make-up advice for the monsoons is to keep it natural and minimal. Remember to use only waterproof products.

The monsoons needn’t be a damper on your personal style statement. Dress wisely, pay attention to materials, play with color, and have fun with your outfits. If you keep a check on all these factors, you’re sure to look like a diva, come rain or sun!

A perfect blend of Fashion in film

The term ‘Fashion’ refers to a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup etc. It refers to a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style with which a person dresses, as well as to prevailing styles in behavior.

Fashion has indeed become an integral part of our film industry. The audience follows what their favorite stars wear in movies, events etc. Indian cinema has completed 100 glorifying years and with this span of time tremendous change has been brought about in the stream of fashion. But one thing remains same.

In the early 1960s we have seen Bollywood actors following fashion trends that were quite traditional as well as ethical whereas now in 2013 we can also see the same flow. Today Indian culture, ethical values are beautifully depicted in Hindi films.

Movies are about escapism. However, whereas fashion celebrates clothes as an art form in themselves, costumes take on a different meaning in the context of a film – they play a supporting role to the plot and often take on a deeper meaning, used to transmit key messages and moods.

Therefore, fashion designers love associations with films because it gives their clothes wider cultural significance. Some films have a lasting impact on the fashion world and serve as perennial inspiration no matter what the season or current trends. Movies are a constant source of visual inspiration thereby promotes fashion in true sense.

Sareez wants to depict the fashion in “Filmy Fashion Funda” contest with “Get the Look” concept where you can easily correlate the current fashion with our Bollywood outfits…
Fashion lovers should take a look at our exquisite Diva look and enjoy the taste of fashion.

The Best Time to Wear

Even though the mercury is soaring but we are not lazy to sport on jewelry. Jewellery is a symbol of beauty. It has always been imperative for women. Spring summer season of 2013 Women’s Fashion Jewelry Trends is full of contrasts. They all share a desire for individualism, brightness and impressive size. The designs are mainly focused on: Indo Western and Natural materials.
Let’s have a tour to some pieces of our jewelry which would give you an idea what is “in”.

Colored Jewellery

Pieces above are specially designed so that it does not look flashy but classic instead. This season it’s all about class and comfort. Crystal Jewelry has become a fad as it can be both teamed with ethnic and Western Outfit.
Only jewellery is not sufficient to make you feel great. Jewellery is worn with traditional Indian outfits such as sarees, Salwar kameez etc, and at present is also worn with western outfits such as jeans, skirts etc.

Take a look & choose your matching dress:
