Consonant to its lineage this Lakme Fashion Week winter/festive 2016 marked a star-studded glamorous runway walk from 24th to 28th Aug 2016 at the prestigious stage of St. Regis, Mumbai.
Started with couture of Tarun Talhani and edged with Ashish Soni this show drummed all marked Fashion designers to exhibit their unique collection in aesthetic or contemporary definition.

Tarun Talhani’s old fashion in new attitude
Kangana Ranaut as showstopper flaunted Talhani’s watch line of same dress in different attitude. The show inaugurated with Talhani’s inspiration which abstracted as a mesh of web in harmony.
He portrayed dresses which demand the wearer to drape it in new style, every time those come out of the closet.
Inspired by Mrinalini Mukherjee, an artist, he presented skirts in different drapes, sari with pleats and gilets.
Colours on which he trusted are black, blunt orange, cobalt blues, maroon and safari green.
Special Mention – Ritu Kumar
This season she was all about fall makeup. It ranged from shimmer bronze shadow to different hair dos and broody colour experiments.
On the end day, she robbed our heart with unique athleisure of court of tennis with cute and sweetie Kriti Sanon.

With the message that reflected by fuller frame men and women was “Style is not measured in inches”.
With cohesive fittings they walked the runway in ALL collections with confidence in representing a group.

He cast fashion with group of glamorous stars. Being Shraddha Kapoor as showstopper dazzled in Manish Malhotra designed princess style lehenga. Susmita Sen with Bhumi Pednakar, Diya Mirza, Pernia Qureshi was spotted in his creation.
Sabyasachi in both Men’s and Women’s wear
Men’s wear was from vintage rough and tough of Indian military and women’s of Matadors and Flamenco dance performers was his spirit or inspiration.
Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone triped the fashion runway for him.
His focus was to enlighten embroidery work of Kashmiri Tilla and Benarasi.
It spanned from 1920s’ to 1970s’.
Anusree Reddy’s Wedding Circuit
Shilpa Shetty flared her wedding guest collections. Her motive colours were rose gold and floral plattes.
Slinkier blouse with acid yellow colour was major focus of her creation.
Ridhi Mehra’s East-meet-West style
Applique, embroidery, luxe fabric highlighted the Greek and Roman earthly paradise. Its mention is traced from mythology.
Ileana D’ Cruz ornate in embroidered gold lehenga unravelled her spirit as a showstopper.
This season her palatte selected hues in both dark and shades of black, navy and pink.
Focus of the Show
Focus on the show was wearability in known yet new fashion. With flashing camera and stars glamour show time, the Mumbai police were in trouble to keep control over traffic jam. It witnessed a rainy Mumbai.
We learnt variations in hair-do, simmer make up, wear old closet collection in new drapes and shades of bold and dusky.

Ashish Soni ended the show with thrills and fun where Jacqueline Fernandez marked monochromatic collections of Ashish Soni.

Ana Ivanovic is no new name to the tennis lovers around the world. But she, most definitely is the hottest addition to the list of international celebrities who have draped themselves in sarees and loved it (what’s not to love? we ask.).

The latest award show to take place this Awards season was the Renault Star Guild Awards 2013. Studded with all the biggies of Bollywood, the award show, took place at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on 16th of February.
The awards night was hosted successfully by Salman Khan for whom it was the first time when he was hosting an Awards night. Dressed in black, he looked amazingly stylish and was quite entertaining. We bring you a list of actress who decided to go traditional for the night.
Seen in a Purple sari by Sabyasachi, Vidya Balan bagged the award for the best actress. She teamed up the sari with a glossy black blouse. Another actress seen in a creation by the same designer was evergreen actress Sridevi. She was seen in a black kurta with heavy embroidery and a lehenga. It was refreshing to see Anushka Sharma in a stunning black and pink sari designed by Manish Malhotra. Anushka went for jhumkis, bindi, and big kohled-eyes like a traditional Indian woman chooses to dress up for festivities
Sonakshi Sinha was seen in a creation by the designer duo Abu Sandeep. She looked refreshing in the white embroidered anarkali. Aditi Rao Hydari was seen in a Payal Singhal designed peach sari.
