We have always been huge fans of the traditional Indian ensemble and the natural grace that escapes from every thread of the desi lehenga. When it comes to our hot shot Indian functions and even parties, girls and women, love to drape themselves in the ethnic fabrics of shimmering lehengas. With the wedding season set to start very soon, we bring to you this exclusive excerpt that highlights the most alluring lehengas adorned by our very own sports star, Sania Mirza, at her sister’s wedding functions. We hope that you will be able to take some nice cues and style tips from this collection and make some lehenga goals for yourself.

Plain black lehenga with Lime green Dupatta
Sania gives credit for the design of this ensemble to Anam Mirza, a very good friend of hers. The outfit gives an all covered, half sleeve gets up. The length of the lehenga appears plain, with embellished design on the border towards the fall. Sania paired the lehenga with a lime green color dupatta, which has been designed with heavy sequins, perfectly complementing the plain design of the black lehenga. She looked fabulous in the lehenga with curled hair and a heavy necklace.

Heavy golden sequined lehenga
We have to admit. Sania looked every bit a dazzling queen in this royal and classic get up. Her floor length lehenga and dupatta were a matching golden shade with heavy sequined work all over the length. The full sleeved lehenga had a blouse as long as the lehenga itself, with a frontal slit from the waist. She chose to wear heavy earrings without any neck piece and her hair was tied in loose waves. The dress was designed by Sabyasachi.

Sea green gown with dupatta
On another occasion, Sania chose to wear a floor length gown in sea-green shade and print design. She looked every bit dapper in this ensemble which she matched with a net dupatta in a matching shade plus embellishments. She kept the look simple with minimum accessories and hair tied in a bun at the back.

Mustard lehenga with long shirt
Sania sure knows how to rock every style and dress to the best of her advantage. On one occasion, she wore a Manish Malhotra creation, which basically consisted of a lehenga, a hip length blouse, and laced dupatta. The base hues showed mustard shades prominently, with decorations along the hems in golden lace and zari. This is yet another simple yet elegant outfit that Sania flaunted with ease. Again, she chose to keep the accessories minimum and hair tied in a bun.

Heavy red embellished lehenga
For the main wedding night, Sania chose to stand by her sister’s side in a very classic and royal red shade lehenga, with very heavy embellishments all along its length. The blouse and dupatta matched the sequin work on the lehenga and made her appear very charming. She chose to accessorize her look with heavy neck pieces, maang tikka, heavy earrings and curled hair.

Star gazed blue gown
In another stylish attempt to dazzle the guests, Sania wore a full sleeved gown in a royal blue shade. The gown looked adorable with small print designs on the entire length. She styled her hair in curls and let them loose. A charming diamond neck piece accompanied her look.

Cream and red lehenga
In this outfit, Sania chose to adopt a contemporary twist to the traditional lehenga. With a cream base lehenga, she chose to drape a full-length blouse in red, with a long slit on the front. Although the lehenga seemed a tad bit simple, the red blouse was heavily embellished with golden thread work. A matching red dupatta completed her look.

So, which of these designer lehengas are you going to rock on the upcoming events? Vote now!
