Anyway, without wasting another moment take a look into what your favourite Bollywood actor wore on her wedding day:

Asin:

One of the big Bollywood weddings of 2016 was that of actor Asin with Micromax founder Rahul Sharma. Asin tied the knot following both Christian and Hindu ceremonial norms. She flaunted an exquisite off-shoulder white gown coupled with a long veil that was adorned with beautiful flowers in the Christian wedding. This wedding gown was cinched at the waist, sporting Asin’s amazing figure, and at the base the gown opened into a slight flare (source: Instagram).

For the Hindu wedding, the actor wore a bollywood designer lehenga, designed by none other than the famous Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The opulence of the heavy gold embroidery transformed Asin into a royalty (source: Instagram).

Divyanka Tripathi:

Popular television actress Divyanka Tripathi recently got married to fellow actor Vivek Dahiya in a hyped ceremony in Bhopal. On her wedding day, Divyanka flaunted a red-and-gold bollywood style lehenga designed by Kalki Fashion and accessorized with heavy gold jewelry. The richness of the deep red lehenga comes out fully due to the bold floral block embroidery paired with a classic neckline in the choli. Also, the red dupatta and the heavy gold added to the flair that Tripathi was exuding all through the day (source: Instagram).

Urmila Matondkar:

Another noted Bollywood actor, Urmila Matondkar got hitched to Mohsin Akhtar, a model, earlier this year. The wedding, held in Mumbai, was a low-key affair. Urmila sure did look like a pretty Indian bride in her heavily embroidered tomato red lehenga designed by the very popular and very talented Manish Malhotra. Reports say that Manish designed the bridal lehenga in five days! Her traditional Marathi bridal look was completed with heavy gold jewelry, nath, maatha patti and green bangles (source: Instagram).

Bipasha Basu:

Bipasha Basu or “Bips” as she is fondly called also decided to tie the knot with fellow actor, Karan Singh Grover, in 2016- a grand affair. Bips donned on a typical Bengali bridal look in her astonishing red lehenga, again designed by the famed designer, Sabyashchi Mukherjee.

The three-quarter blouse, in rage this wedding season in Bengal, was decorated with heavy gold embroidery while the lehenga itself was heavily embellished, adding extra glow to the already stunning Bollywood bride. Accessories that completed her bridal look included jhumkas, a statement piece choker, maang-tikka, red bangles and nathni (source: Instagram).

Preity Zinta:

Our very own dimpled Bollywood actor Preity Zinta opted for a private wedding ceremony this year. Her wedding to Gene Goodman, a US-based financial consultant, was framed in pictures that the actress claims will be sold with the proceeds going to charity. However, a couple of wedding pics of Preity in a Manish Malhotra bridal gown did find their way to the Internet. Zinta was styled by famed celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, and appeared drop-dead gorgeous in her one-shoulder, red bridal gown that had subtle floral embroidery. Paring the outfit with traditional choodas and chandelier earrings, Zinta flaunted the look of a beautiful Indian bride (source: Instagram).

Having read the above bridal lehengas, you must, by now, have got a clear picture of what you’re looking to wear on your wedding day. Don’t forget that this is once-in-a-lifetime affair so make the most of it.
