On 10th September 2015, an autumn day, The Grand Hotel in Delhi saw the debut edition of avant grade Lifestyle show, Shaan-E-Pakistan, with over 150 exhibitors from both India and Pakistan. The exhibition consisted of fashion, jewellery, textiles to accessories, lifestyle and even furniture. The exhibitors assure to offer premium fashion in the capital of our nation.

This had been a 3 day Fashion and Lifestyle gala event. The concept of arranging this sort of event was by famed Pakistani designer Huma Nassr in association with Sangeeta Das who is an Entrepreneur and Indian Co-Host.
According to the Pakistani Designer this Shaan-E-Pakistan not only gave a glance of Pakistani fashion to the globe but the event was about empowerment too. The designer had the opinion that craftsmen and women weaver not so often realise the worthiness of their delicate handwork.
Nowadays most of the fashion designers use hand embroidery for their line of clothes. Thus this show proved of being a good platform for these weavers and craftsmen to get the good exposure they really deserve for the handwork.

India is the second home for Huma Nassr since several years and she has the brand named ‘Braahtii’ which is quite popular for her contemporary and edgy digital prints with Multani, Tarkashi and Ralli embroidery.
The event had food, fashion and music arranged by both the nation to bring the people closer with the help of a cultural and fashion string. Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit inaugurated the event here in Delhi.

During the event, audience got to witness a Fashion Show comprising ace designers from the two nations. Zainab Chottani, Umar Sayeed, Arsalan Iqbal, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) and Sahar Atif are the Pakistani designers worth to mention. These designers showcased wide range of collections Semi Formals, Prêt and Couture.
At last we should mention the arrangements of food for the guests. For the occasion many delicious dishes were made by Indian renowned chef Osama Jalali and Pakistani Chef Zakir Nasim and Gulzar Hussain.
