Ritu BeriRitu Beri, a rare combination of beauty and brains is one of the renowned and peak fashion designers. She is a New Delhi based international fashion designer. Ritu Beri is consistently serving the fashion industry for 20 years. She graduated from NIFT in the later 80’s and was always one of the brightest students of the batch.

A stupendous fashion designer identified for block prints collection and intricate motifs, Ritu Beri, has made a break in the fashion sphere in India with her immense styles impressive sense of mixing colors in resourceful works.

Ritu Beri started off designing clothes for friends, relatives and herself. Her progress in life is unfailing. Later in 1990 she opened her own fashion studio “Lavanya” which was an instant success both in her homeland and in an international market. Her collection was even sold in the Meccas of London’s Regent Street. After this she never looked back. And now Ritu Beri stands as a fashion diva.

The diva is synonymous to feminine and funky designer apparels. The harmonious mixture of Indian heritage and western culture leads her to create a marvelous and splendid design which leaves people awestruck.

She is the only Indian designer who got the honor to be featured in promostyl’s magazine ‘Acustyl’, which forecasts fashion trend world wide. Ritu Beri won an award for her book “How to Look Your Best”. The first book launched by her is “Firefly-A fairy tale”. She is also the author of a personal fashion book “101 Ways to Look Good” . Ritu Beri even won the coveted Creative Woman of the Year Award, Hind Gaurav Award, Bharat Nirman Award & Akea Best Delhi Designer Award.

Ritu Beri then launched “Sanskrithi” which spoke about the Indian ethnic scenario. Her collection raised a round of applause in the ethnic Indian population, which made her the cynosure of attention.


Ritu Beri’s notable international clients need special talk about. They are US President Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, Moulin Rouge, Nicole Kidman. Hollywood actress Andy McDowell, Supermodel Laetitia Casta.

On the other hand Madhuri Dixit, Rani Mukherjee, Priety Zinta, Parmeshwar Godrej and Shobha De are few among the nation clients.

Ritu Beri has designed uniforms for many corporate and institutionalized customers like Hotel Hyatt Regency, Delhi Police Band, Delhi mounted Police, Citizen Warden and Indian Olympic Association till date.Menoka Gandhi’s welfare group’s (People for Animal) clothes was created by this well known lady. Her style and elegance is flawless.

Today her design has come into limelight not only nationally but internationally. People talk about her designs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, USA, London and Paris. The first Indian designer to present a collection in Paris was none other than Ritu Beri. Ritu Beri, is gaining acknowledgment for her graceful and other times obscure designs, a woman who has put India on the apex in the fashion world. With her dazzling good looks and modern designs, she is creating an aura of magic all around. But still Ritu Beri says-”Today, the world is still my oyster and I appear to have succeeded in prizing it open just a little bit.”
