TWO KNOTTY AFFAIRS

THE COUPLE DRESS UP IN THE SAME MANNER AS SAIFS PARENTS

KAREENA AND SAIF IN THEIR TROSSEAU

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s five year courtship has culminated in a week of wedding
celebrations. Brand new begum Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s wedding was high
on the opulent quotient, with royalty etched in every shred of the wedding functions.
As for the Bollywood’s new blushing bride, she looked drop dead gorgeous in all the
functions. Kareena wore Manish Malhotra for most of her functions, except the exchange of
vows on Tuesday.

After Kareena, it was actress Vidya Balan who joined the married brigade in Bollywood.
She married her long time beau and UTV Motion Pictures head Siddharth Roy Kapur. As
expected, the wedding functions were a hush hush affair. Only relatives and close friends
were invited for the ceremony. Veteran actress Rekha, who is known to be very close to
Vidya, was the only person from the film fraternity at the mehendi ceremony.

For the Sangeet Kareena adorned an orange and gold lehenga sari designed by Manish
Malhotra, with emeralds as jewellery, and Saif went the nawab way with a white Nehru
jacket worn over a kurta.

Saif Ali Khan’s outfits have been designed by Raghavendra Rathore. He wore a brocade
achkan with a pocket handkerchief that matched Kareena’s outfit for the wedding. He wore
a plain black bandhgala at the Delhi reception.

For the mehendi ceremony, Vidya wore her favourite designer Sabyasachi. She draped the
mustard yellow saree in Bengali style with floral jewellery. For the wedding, she dressed up
like a traditional Tamil bride in a nine yard Kanjeevaram saree with traditional South Indian
jewellery.

Sareez wishes both the couple a very happy married life.

After the grand wedding at the Iskcon Temple , veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini hosted a gala reception for their daughter Esha at Mumbai’s Intercontinental The Lalit in Andheri.

It was a lovely creation by Rocky S for the gorgeous newlywed Esha . She cut a pretty picture in the Pink ” lehenga ” and corset Blouse embroidered with Swarovski crystals. We simply adored the add on which was there in the form of a pink flower for her hair. CUTE.

Bharat looked every inch classy in a smart black tuxedo with a white shirt which was designed by Simone Khambatta.

For the evergreen beauty Hemaji , it was a cream embroidered work saree designed by Neeta Lulla. The proud father of the bride was seen in a black suit over a white shirt . Ahana looked pretty in a pink lehenga – choli.

Esha-Bharat Wedding Ceremony

If the sangeet and the mehendi was anything to go by , then we sure did expect a lavish wedding and the Deol – Takhtani’ wedding lived up to our expectations. The marriage took place at the Iskcon Temple in Juhu and was in traditional South Indian style. The wedding saw the entire bollywood under one roof.

The bride looked radiant in a red and golden Kanjivaram lehenga , designed by none other than the bride’s favourite designer Neeta Lulla.. Esha’s bridal lehenga was teamed up with an embellished chiffon dupatta covering her head. She accessorized it with layers of traditional South Indian gold jewellery , which included an exquisite waist band and red and white chudha which is customary to be worn by the North Indian brides.

The groom looked charming and princely in a white paisley embroidered Sherwani also designed by the same designer. It was paired with a patterned chiffon dupatta with red and green floral border and red and burnt orange turban.

For the Bride’s mom and sister , it was again a Neeta Lulla creation. Hemaji looked a absolute stunner in a pink and orange Kanjivaram saree and a green embellished blouse. She completed her look with traditional south Indian gold jewellery consisting of jhumkas , multiple statement necklaces , baajuband , bangles and a thick waistband. Sister Ahana stuck to the South Indian Thavani(half-sari) and following her sister and her mother , adorned traditional south Indian jewelleries.

As for the guests , the wedding was truly star studded. From Nita Ambani and Rani Mukerji to Manoj Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan, there were quite a few celebrities that graced Esha’s wedding ceremony.
The designer herself adorned a beautiful orange printed and gold zari border work paired with short sleeved embroidered blouse. Her daughter and a established designer Nishika Lulla also wore a beautiful tan designer traditional silk saree with gold printed and zari border work paired with designer short sleeved saree blouse.

Rani Mukherjee kept it simple in a white Anuradha Vakil saree. Preeti Desai dazzled in a beautiful pink designer georgette saree with mirror , patch and lace border work by the designer Anita Dogre.
This was a wedding which we simply loved. A perfect blend of traditional and modern. What do you think about this wedding?

Esha Deol – Bharat Takhtani : Mehendi Ceremony

Next in line after the dazzling sangeet night was a color filled afternoon for the bride – to – be Esha Deol. The extravagant mehendi ceremony took place at a club in Bandra in Mumbai. The girls of the Deol family went traditional for this function with cheery colors and real flower ornaments including maang tikka and bracelet.

30 year old Esha opted for a yellow and green lehenga by favorite designer Neeta Lulla for the mehendi. The radiant mom Hema Malini made heads turn in a yellow and green saree with gorgeous lace border. As for Sister of the bride, Ahana it was a festive Nishka Lulla’s orange anarkali. The three ladies looked bright and colorful and so did all the guests.

Beau Bharat looked striking in a sleeveless Nehru jacket over a yellow white kurta pyjama.

The designer Neeta Lulla who was behind all the beautiful dresses worn by the bride and her family was seen in a beautiful lemon yellow anarkali and metallic sandals. Madhoo looked adorable in a chic printed saree. We simply loved it.

A close knitted family affair, the mehendi ceremony was a glimpse of how grand the wedding is going to be. What do you think about everyone’s appearances? Like it or not?

Keep watching this space for more updates on the Deol – Takhtani union.

Esha Deol’s Sangeet Ceremony

Bollywood Shaadis are something we always look forward to. Beautiful ladies in Indian ethnic wear and handsome men in sherwanis and kurta pyajamas are a visual treat. Esha Deol’s sangeet ceremony was one such function.

The would be bride Esha looked dazzling in a traditional Lehnega by the designer Rocky S. The ensemble was red and indigo with gold zari work with the blouse in orange. Standing by her side , her Beau Bharat wore a blue velvet sherwani with gold zari designed by friend and designer Simone Khambatta.

Looking as beautiful as the bride to be was the bride’s mom Hema Malini. Always an epitome of beauty and grace, Hemaji gave us no less this time. She wore a sari designed by her favorite designer Shyamal and Bhumika. Little sister Ahana who prefers to be behind all the limelight looked wonderful and breathtakingly fresh in a blue anarkali suit. Another family member Madhoo Saprey who is Hema Malini’s niece was seen in a red lehnega with golden work and a halter neck blouse. She cut a pretty picture.

Among the guests present were Zayed Khan and Wife , Genelia – Ritiesh , Sen sisters , Nasserudhin Saha with wife Ratna , Designer Neeta Lulla, Masaba , Zoa Morani and others. Our favorite dressed amongst the guest were Preeti Desai who came with Abhay Deol. Dressed in a designer blue lehenga , she made a impact and stood out of all.

Seeing that the sangeet was such a grand affair , we look forward to the other functions with great eagerness. Keep watching this space to know who was wearing what and create your own style.

Gold & Glitter @ Bappa Lahiri’s Wedding

<aBappi Lahiri is known for his love for gold and he left no stone unturned to make the wedding night of his son Bappa Lahiri a golden night . The wedding took place at ITC Grand Sheraton on April 16th. But beyond the golden glitter was the dazzle of stars who arrived to wish the newlyweds. Several Bollywood biggies like the Bachchans and the who’s who from the music fraternity came to bless the couple.

The Bride, Taneesha Verma looked stunning in a red colored saree with golden work and white net pallu. For the groom it was a golden embroidered cream color sherwani. They made a spectacular couple. Shraddha Kapoor , who is a close friend of the Bride , was in a lehenga by Ritu Kumar and she looked elegant. For Masaba  , yet another close friend , it was a white colored saree with heavy golden border.

We always love the looks that we get from Sophie and this occasion was no less. She glowed in a peach colored Manish Malhotra saree.

Wedding Bells for Reema Sen

Shaadi’s are always a glitzy affair and this Bollywood shaadi season continues with another addition to the list. South Indian actress Reema Sen tied the knots with Delhi Based Hotelier Shiv Karan Singh on 13th March.

Weddings always make us happy and this was yet another reason for us to smile. Reema gave us different looks in all her functions. She looked amazing right from the Mehendi to the Wedding to her Reception. We saw the pretty Bride in a pink lehenga choli for her Mehendi ceremony.

For the wedding it was na ensemble by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The red designer lehenga was double layered and had golden embroidery all over. We at Sareez believe that a Wedding is the most beautiful day of a girl’s life and she looks her best on this day. Reema Sen was no exception. She dazzled and looked utterly divine.

She surprised us by her ultimate choice of a yellow colored lehenga for the reception. It was traditional and yet it gave a sense of fun and frolic. Once again she looked spectacular.

We wish the couple a Happy Married life ahead.
